Introduction to a Database for Programsused for Business in the Magnetic Observatory

Yamamoto, T. & Morinaga, K.

Abstract

Various programs are used for business in the Magnetic Observatory. These were originally managed in each section, rather than uniformly. As a result, one section would sometimes use a different version of a program with the same name to that being used in another section, leading to problems with differences between the versions. In order to solve these problems, we developed database software which manages programs used for business. With this software, program information can easily be referred to and managed using a Web browser. This database software enables each section to use the latest version of a program and information to be shared about program bugs in each section.
In this paper, we describe the outline and the functions of the database software for managing programs used for business.
